Garry Bishop

GB has been a member at ABC since the foundation of the men’s side in 1989 and he has played more than 600 games for the club. Over the last 31 years, he has been a player, coach, and manager for variously the P1, P2, P3 and D1 grades. He is heavily involved in our club youth programme and is an active member of the North Harbour Masters Hockey community.  He has represented North Harbour in all grades from U15 through to Masters Men’s 45’s as well as playing for New Zealand Masters M40’s and M45’s.  

 

GB is a passionate believer in sport generally and hockey in particular for it's social and mental health benefits, as well as the obvious physical ones.
