Darren Joyce (DJ)
Darren (aka DJ) joined ABC in 1990 at the start of the club's second season. Since then he has played approximately 500 games for the club at P1, P2 and P3 level.
He has managed teams at all of these grades and coached many of the club's P2 and P3 sides. DJ has also served on the club committee since 2005 with 10 years as the club president. He is currently the men's club captain.
DJ has also spent many years supporting and helping Garry Bishop to develop the ABC youth grade program.
On a personal level, he has represented North Harbour at U15, U18 and U21 level as well as the Masters M35, M40 and M45 level.
DJ is proud to represent ABC and North Harbour, and proud to be part of the club and Association’s history. Hockey is an amazing sport to play and be part of at all stages of life. It has an incredible ability to support well being and friendships both on and off the field.
